Booking Terms

The bits worth knowing before you sit in the chair.

Booking

Online via Square at our booking page or by phone on 0470 329 688. Valid phone and email required for confirmation and reminders.

Consultation

Every colour booking includes a free 30-minute consultation, brought to you to align on tone, condition, time, and price before anything is mixed. If the consult uncovers a different service path, we discuss it openly and adjust the booking.

Deposits

Most services do not require a deposit. Long-form colour corrections, multi-hour bookings, and smoothing services may require a 25% deposit, agreed at time of booking. Deposits credit toward the final invoice.

Cancellation

Repeated no-shows (two or more) may require full pre-payment to rebook.

Late arrival

Up to 15 minutes late, we do our best to complete the service inside the remaining time. More than 15 minutes late may require shortening, splitting, or rebooking the service. If we can't deliver what was booked, cancellation policy above applies.

Redo policy

If you're not happy with your colour or cut, tell us within seven days. We rebook you at no charge to adjust tone, refine the cut, or address whatever sits off. Beyond seven days, normal pricing applies, but we still want to hear about it.

Refunds

Services delivered are non-refundable, in line with Australian Consumer Law (services rendered). Redo policy above is how we make things right. Unopened retail product can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. Opened product is exchange only, subject to reasonable hygiene checks.

Pricing

Prices on the website and in Square are in Australian dollars and include GST. Final price depends on hair length, density, and time. Where the consultation reveals a different price band, we tell you before any work begins.

Health and safety

Tell us about allergies, skin conditions, medication, pregnancy, recent colour history (especially box dye or henna), and any scalp sensitivity. A patch test 48 hours before colour may be required for new clients or anyone with reactive skin. We reserve the right to decline a service if it would put your hair or skin at risk.

Children

Children under 14 are welcome for cuts and styling with a parent or guardian present.

Photography

Before and after photos are taken with verbal permission only. You can decline. Photos used on social media are credited and never tagged with personal information. Removal requests are honoured within 48 hours.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Akila Hair and Beauty is liable only for the cost of the service performed. Nothing in these terms excludes the statutory consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes affecting active bookings are emailed directly.
